Pattern of Life Case Study
PHASE 1: INSPIRATION
A family from the far north frequently escaped the winters in this historic Florida city on the Gulf of Mexico known for its “sugary” sand beaches. A growing number of their northern neighbors have established a winter community devoted to this laid back paradise, to the famous sea turtles and to relaxed family fun.
PHASE 2: DESIGN
The 2 story condomimium is an historic fixture on the beach, and we reworked the interior to maximize guest space. Playful finishing details reflect beach life and small architectural tweaks allow for easy flow in and out of the living spaces.
PHASE 3: LIFESTYLE
The family finally has its gathering place to escape to the tropics, experience the community culture, walk on the sand, play in the surf and learn from the wisdom of the sea turtles.
